When Susie, homeless and hungry, came to our home and asked to move in she quickly demonstrated her outstanding people skills. That's why we decided to appoint her Director of Human Resources for our small home-based business.
She soon learned the job and now takes her responsibilities very seriously. That's why she spends most of the working day on my desk watching me work and making sure that I don't slack off.
My business partner Naomi once referred to her as the "paper weight." That doesn't seem very respectful, considering that she's a Director of our company. However, Susie never complains. She enjoys her job, and her new home, too much to do that.
