Apollo

Breed: Horse
Primary Breed: Horse
Age: Adult
Color: Grullo
Sex: Male

Apollo has a very interesting story. He was found by hikers in mustang territory as a newborn foal who had been abandoned by his mother. He was a very confident, friendly youngster who was adopted by a nice person who inadvertently encouraged him to be even more confident with people to the point of him being too dominant and even dangerous. She then sent him to a 4-H youth group who did their best with him, but weren't able to solve his issues and brought him to Best Friends. We have put a lot of time and effort into helping him become a well-adjusted, natural horse and he has come leaps and bounds from where he was. He's so smart, playful and pretty, and everyone who meets him is attracted to him. He isn't a very big horse, about 13hh, but is very sound and healthy. He will always need a very savvy person who is committed to his continued success, but to the right home, he will be a really great partner.
