Paul Eckhoff, Founder

Paul Eckhoff studied and worked as an architect in London before traveling extensively throughout Europe, Russia, and the United States. Paul settled in Kanab, Utah, twenty years ago as part of the founding group of Best Friends Animal Society.

Paul not only designed the majority of the buildings at the sanctuary, he also helped build them in the early days. He has also been involved with many aspects of the development of the sanctuary over that time, but is best known for his innovative, practical, and beautiful animal care facilities.
